Digibook – digital logbook, Fleet Hub and vessel management

Simple and intuitive vessel management software: onboard logbook, shore-side Fleet Hub and practical vessel management workflows in one system.

Digibook is not a heavy management platform. It focuses on what matters: essential communication between vessel and office, structured logs, tasks, reports, files and documented decisions.

Principle

Lightweight vessel management, not a complicated management system

Digibook is intentionally practical. The goal is not to bring heavy office software onboard, but to keep the vessel and office aligned around the information that actually matters.

Vessel ↔ Office

Essential communication in one place

Tasks, logs, reports, files and operational notes do not disappear into emails, spreadsheets or messages. Vessel and office work from the same workflow.

Traceability

Everything is documented

When the office sends a task, the vessel makes an entry or a maintenance job moves forward, the system keeps a clear record of what happened, when and by whom.

Onboard first

Simple and intuitive

A browser-based interface, clear views and Quick Log buttons help the crew use the system in daily onboard work without complicated training.

Digibook

One system with three connected parts

Digibook starts onboard with a simple logbook, connects the vessel to the office through Fleet Hub and adds lightweight vessel management for maintenance, tasks and documents.

Onboard digital records

Vessel Logbook

For the crew: an easy-to-read log view, Quick Logs for recurring activities, daily reports and required record categories in a browser-based onboard system.

Shore-side visibility

Fleet Hub

For the office: fleet overview and management, vessel-office communication, report access, sync status and shore-side logbook backup when connectivity is available.

Maintenance and tasks

Vessel Management

For technical and operational management: a simple tool for keeping maintenance, tasks, events, documents, photos and certificates in order.

Vessel Logbook

Easy to read, quick to log, simple to review later

The onboard part of Digibook is built for the crew. A logbook should not feel like a complicated collection of forms — officers and captains need to record events quickly and find them again later.

The logbook uses a clear table view. Recurring activities can be added with Quick Log buttons, such as lines released/secured, pilot onboard/away, main engine start/stop or anchor operations. You can also add your own Quick Log buttons.

The vessel’s instruments are connected to the logbook hardware, allowing Digibook to record AIS / NMEA / Signal K data automatically for log entries and reporting. Digibook works locally onboard, so daily use does not depend on a constant internet connection.

Practical details that make the logbook usable

  • Clear table view that is easy to read on a bridge computer
  • Quick Logs for recurring onboard activities
  • Automatic logging of instrument data from AIS / NMEA / Signal K sources
  • Entries are time-stamped, role-based and filterable
  • Daily reports generated from existing entries
  • Corrections and amendments remain traceable
  • Deck, Radio, Engine, Oil, Garbage, Ballast and other log categories
  • Offline onboard use and shore sync when connectivity is available

Fleet Hub

Fleet management, communication and logbook backup from shore

Fleet Hub is the shore-side view where the office can see vessel status, logs, reports, tasks and synchronization status. It is not only a report archive — it is a practical communication layer between vessel and office.

When the vessel has a connection, selected data can be synced from the onboard system to Fleet Hub. This creates a shore-side backup of the logbook and reduces reliance on manually forwarded reports, emails or scanned paper records.

Useful for fleet-wide management

  • Fleet overview and vessel status in one view
  • Shore-side logbook backup
  • Essential vessel-office communication documented
  • Central archive for reports and PDFs
  • Sync status and last-sync visibility
  • Tasks, files and reports in the same workflow
  • Visibility for operations and office staff

Vessel Management

Lightweight vessel management for daily operations

The vessel management part of Digibook is intended as a simple working tool, not a heavy ERP system. The focus is on maintenance, tasks, events, documents and responsibilities.

The same vessel-shore workflow can support technical managers, crew and fleet maintenance while keeping essential information in one documented system.

  • Maintenance history and records
  • Task tracking and assignments
  • Calendar view for vessel events
  • Service reminders and notifications
  • Component and equipment management
  • Document, photo and certificate storage
  • Exportable maintenance reports

How it works

Onboard first, shore-connected when possible

Digibook is designed around the reality of vessels: the system must work onboard even when internet access is limited, and it should sync useful information to shore when connectivity is available.

Onboard hardware Vessel local network Tablet / bridge PC Fleet Hub
  1. Digibook runs on onboard hardware, an onboard server or an onboard computer.
  2. Crew use the system from a bridge PC, tablet or laptop in the local network.
  3. Logs, reports, tasks and maintenance records are created onboard.
  4. When connectivity is available, selected data can sync to Fleet Hub.
  5. Office staff can review reports, status and tasks from shore.

Key benefits

Required logbook categories in one system

Automatic data capture reduces manual work

One-click daily PDF reports

Data available from shore when synced
